Bud had a minor throat operation on 10th Feb and is mending well. He would like to thank everyone who wrote or phoned in to wish him all the best. It will be business as ususal for the gig at EMI Wells on 20th Feb!

Familiar Places - Video

This original song written by Bud Martin was first presented to DJM Records boss Dick James in the Autumn of 1969. After listening to a live demo the Head man thought it might be a hit record if Bud made a few changes to the song's structure. Well ... 40 years later Bud has made those changes. Hmmm, better late than never, eh?

Have a sneak preview of our recording of Les Barker's "Sloop John A". Make sure you listen on good quality headphones or speakers because the dynamic range is quite wide. Let us know what you think of it.....

Summertime!

We've been having a break and getting on with the recordings as well! The Dates list has been refreshed and our Beach Boys version of the Les Barker parody "Sloop John A" goes on national release at the end of July 09. See bcab.org.uk for more details.

Progress in the Recording Studio

We are working hard to record the last few tracks of our original songs (yes, I know I've been saying that for ages, but we really mean it this time ......). Also watch this space for an announcement of a special nation-wide release very soon.

Christmas Song

We'll be taking "Oh Christmas Day" off the playlist this weekend but will have a 'proper' full length version ready for next Christmas. We only have 11 months to do this ..... (groan)

A BIG thankyou to the Leigh Club, Street for making us so welcome and to the wonderful audience who made the evening memorable for us.

Hi to everyone at Wells EMI Club who came to see us on Saturday. We had a great night and the audience was, as usual, most appreciative. Thank you all.

Hi Elle McKeegan. We received your email but for some reason it came out all gobbeldy-gook! Please re-send your message when you can.

A big "Thank You" from the band to all the folks at the Pokesdown gig last night. We're always warmly welcomed and last night exceptionally so. As usual, the ladies and gents in the 'rowdy' corner kept us on our toes! (see the pictures Gallery).

There's a first time for everything! The music at the Centenary Club had to stop at the request of the Weymouth Constabulary who were dealing with an 'incident' outside the venue. Fearing for our safety, the Chief Superintendant personally called a halt to proceedings just as we were about to launch into our finale at 11-45pm. Our wonderful audience made it abundantly clear to the senior officer their dismay at having the entertainment so cruelly curtailed.See new pix in the Gallery

Still hard at work in the studio and hoping to get the next couple of songs on the web in the next few days! Also looking forward to the Centenary Club gig in Weymouth ths weekend.

2. "Girl's In Love With Me" - a superb Clive Lever song performed by Johnny Godwin.
